For Paris, City of Lights

In the wake of what is happening in our world, here is today's timely post from photographer, Jerry Downs.

Last year my friend, Joe Burull and I went out early to take pictures. For much of the morning the world was lost in a thick fog. It was hard to see anything beyond a few feet from where we stood. We kept moving. The earth kept turning. All at once we and found ourselves face to face with this this heavenly scene. The fog and the darkness made the light all the more visible. It was hard not to recognize the miracle of this metaphor. Keep moving, my friends. And, if you find yourself unable to move, know that the earth will keep turning and the light will find you.
