The goose can be found in much of the northern hemisphere. There are 29 known species of geese around the world, but the Canadian geese are the most iconic. Geese are omnivorous birds, but mainly feed on grubs, insects, small fish and plankton in the water. For much, if not all, of their lives geese stay with the same mating partners, forming a strong bond. A pair will spend much of their time together and raise their young together.
