Lymph Node

Humans have over 500 individual lymph nodes in our bodies, making up our lymphatic system. These numerous nodes are mostly found in the neck and underarms. Unlike blood, the lymphatic system has no pumping mechanism, so instead it relies on the pressure of muscle movement to circulate around the body. The lymphatic system's most important role is circulating disease fighting 'T-cells' and 'B-cells' to the proper areas of the body for defense. All of EcoSmartDesigns' handmade, pewter charm jewelry designs are proudly made in the USA.
