Piglets are baby pigs. They are gestated for about 114 days, or a little less than four months. Each sow, or pregnant pig, has a little of at least four piglets each time she delivers. Piglets are nursed for up to six weeks before they are weaned. Piglets and pigs are omnivores, eating both plants and animals. They are scavengers and will eat nearly anything that they come across, from plants and fruit, to tree bark and dead insects. Wild piglets will look for berries and shoots as these contain more nutrients, helping them grow.
