Roosters are an adult male chicken, whereas the females are called hens. The roosters are larger, usually more brightly colored, and have larger combs on the top of their heads compared to hens. Though roosters are birds, they are heavy so they are unable to far very far. With a limit of about 60 meters or 200 feet. They have good hearing, but a poor sense of smell and taste. Roosters are characteristically known for their crowing at sunrise.
