Tennessee Walking Horse
This horse is made for walking, and that's just what they'll do. Actually, the Tennessee Walking Horse is known for it's unique four-beat running-walk, which is a quicker gait that maintains the smoothness of a walking gait versus a quicker, rougher gait like a canter or gallop. Described as "refined and elegant, yet solidly built", this breed stands between 14–17 hands, or 59–68 inches, and weighs between 900–1200 lb. This horse comes in several colors, including chestnut, bay, and champagne.
