The name Tyrannosaurus Rex comes from Greek and Latin roots, meaning "King of the Tyrannt Lizards". They are known for being one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs, having a diet that mostly consisted of herbivorous dinosaurs. T. Rex's had an amazing amount of force that they could exert in each bite, reaching up to 12,815 pounds of force! Equivalent to the force of an elephant sitting down.
